2024 Tripz.UK British Supermoto championship: RD1 – Three Sisters Circuit (Wigan)

A beautiful and sunny weekend at Three Sisters for round 1 of the British supermoto championship where we raced two full days of competition, the ‘National’ races on Saturday and the ‘British Championship’ races on Sunday.

After a busy test-day on Friday where our riders, Chris Hodgson, Alex Mullaney and Archie Reynolds worked alongside our team of race technicians, Tom Barrington, Dave Barrington and Phil Diggle, on their individual bikes set up, the race weekend finally started.

Unfortunately it didn’t start in the best way, with Chris Hodgson having a nasty crash in free practice, the result of this ‘tumble’ was a broken collarbone that sadly forced Chris out of the race weekend.

Alex Mullaney was consistently fast the whole weekend, placing his TM Moto 450Fi SMK machine into 4th place in race 3 during Saturday’s ‘National’ earning himself an overall 5th place for the ‘National’ event. Alex then went on to achieve his the first podium with a great 3rd place in race 3 during Sunday’s ‘British Championship’ event.

An amazing debut-outing for our Junior Team rider, Archie Reynolds. Archie and his new TM Moto 2T 85 SMX machine raced themselves to a Sunday full of podiums with two 3rd  places and a 2nd place.

We would like to wish Chris a speedy recovery as we now look forward to Round 2 at Teeside in May, where hopefully Chris will be back on track to join his fellow TM Moto racers in action and we can once again enjoy a brace of podium placings.
