Report:

PODIUM FOR NICCOLO MANNINI IN THE EMX 125

Matterley Basin, 21 and 22 June 2025 – It was one of the most beautiful tracks of the World Championship that played host to the GP of Great Britain, the Matterley Basin track also spared everyone from the usual British rains with a fairly good weekend in terms of the weather. In the races both our pilots were in attendance riding their TM Moto machines, Julius Mikula in MX2 and Niccolo Mannini in the EMX125.

Niccolo made it clear from the timed session that he has a good feeling with motorcycle and track, obtaining the 5th QT and consequently a good choice of the starting gate. In the first heat, as always held on Saturday afternoon, he took place among the first and always fought in the first five positions. At the finish he won the 4th position. In the race two run on Sunday morning another good departure even if around the tenth position. During the first stages he quickly climbed positions finding himself third. After a couple of returns, an error made him lose positions but from there on Niccolo he changed step by bringing himself back to third position with some great overtaking. In the last few lines he took care of the hard keeping his position until the finish line. With the 4th and 3rd place in the two heat Niccolo he climbed on the third step of the GP podium giving the team and TM another great satisfaction. Niccolo now occupies the 4th position in the EMX125 championship ranking.

Niccolo Mannini: “I am very happy with the weekend that brought me back on the podium. I thank first of all the team that worked hard to solve a problem, everything allowed me to run in the best conditions. After a good qualification in the first heat I started well and I always fought with the pilots who were in the first positions. In the race two I found even better, too much pity that a small mistake forced me to reassemble with two. Placement I managed to return to the podium! We have a small break to make the most of the junior world championship and the last two continental commitments to do well”.

For Julius on Saturday he saw him grasped a nice ninth place in the times that led to the gate for the qualification heat. Saturday afternoon in the race he always gravitated just beyond the top ten closing in 13th position. Sunday in the race one after starting after the top ten fell during the third lap and in an attempt to reassemble it went to the ground heavily. At that point not to him. It has remained that retiring hoping to do better in the second heat. In the race two things went decidedly better. Taken close to the first winds Julius reassembled position during the thirty minutes of the race, managing to go up to 13th place thus conquering some world championship points. After this GP, the Czech pilot occupies the 18th position in the MX2 World Cup.

Julius Mikula: “This weekend we took part in the MXGP round in the Matterley track in the United Kingdom. Saturday, the track was very dry and slippery, with not many lines, a quick and fluid layout. I finished 9th in the times and the 13th in the qualifying race. On Sunday, the track conditions improved slightly. Many lines were soft and difficult, which I discovered in the most hard I miss me. A thousand to my team and to all those who support me “.

Now the World Championship/European takes a small break, the next appointment is set for 12 and 13 July with the Finland GP which will once again see our two drivers engaged.

A week earlier, on 5 and 6 in France, Niccolo Mannini will defend the colors of Italy in the Junior World Cup.
