CRD Motorsport: 2025 MXGP - Teutschenthal, Germany

Report:
Julius Mikula and Niccolo Mannini were competing in their respective categories once again, MX2 and EMX 125.
After setting the 19th fastest time in Time Practice Julius then had to face the Saturday afternoon qualifying heats. After a departure in the centre of the pack, he managed to regain some positions, ending 16th. Sunday – in race one Julius was taken close to the top ten positions, completing the heat in that ranking area, at the finish he passed through 14th position, after being making it to twelfth. In the second race the conditions have changed with the arrival of the rain, however Julius managed to make the most of this situation by playing a very positive race. After passing beyond the top ten in the first laps, he started his comeback that brought him forward again, without overdoing and without running many risks Julius conlcuded the race in 8th position. With these results he ends the German GP in 12th place and after the ten tests he occupies 17th position in the ranking of the MX2 World Championship.
Julius Mikula: “I really liked the track during the weekend. On Saturday I finished the 16th and it was quite hot, but the track was well prepared. On Sunday, the first heat was held on a dry track. It was still hot and I finished again in 14th place in demanding but manageable conditions. However, the second heat brought a big change: the rain started, the temperature fell and the track has changed, muddy!. Under pressure starting from behind I tried to push on strong to capture the riders in front”.
Niccolo started his weekend by setting the 7th time of his qualifying group, this did not allow him to choose the best positions of the starting gate. In the first heat his jump at the start was excellent and immediately placed himself into third position. Niccolo managed to maintain his placement for several laps but in the final he was overtaken by an opponent and ended in 4th place. In race two on Sunday morning the start was not so good, working outside the top ten and pushing the riders in that ranking to climb the leaderboard. After being seventh, he then went down to the 9th final position. With these results he placed himself 7th overall for the event, now he has recovered some positions in the championship rankings where he stands 4th.
Niccolo Mannini: “I am quite satisfied even if there is a pinch of regret. Saturday I was unable to find the feeling with motorcycles and track and I did not perform my best. Despite everything I did a nice heat, ending 4th and holding hard until the finish line. On Sunday morning it was more complicated, both leaving the gate and in the race. I tried to recover but it was not easy with the track being so fast. At the end of the day, considering the small problems we have had, it is to be considered very positive”.
Next week, 7 and 8 June, we return to the track again with both our drivers. In Kegums the Latvia GP will be ran for both the World Cup and the European EMX125.
