Castiglione del Lago (PG), 31 August 2025 – After almost a three month break, the Italian Pro Prestige championship returns,this time from the historic and beautiful Umbriam track in Castiglione del Lago.

In the class of MX2 our rider, Julius Mikula, now recovered after the crash in Arnhem.

It was a two-sided weekend. On Saturday, a day usually dedicated to practice and testing, it was cancelled due to bad weather. The heavy rains that fell between Friday and Saturday morning combined with more rain in the afternoon, forced the race direction to cancel the whole program and concentrate everything on Sunday.

On Sunday morning the qualifying took place on a very ‘heavy’ and difficult track, Julius set a time to put himself in in the middle of the group. At the end of the morning practive and timing sessions it was now time for race1 1. A difficult start for Julius on the tough track and he finds himself beyond the top ten, from there he begins his comeback… pushing hard saw him progress into third position which he mamages to keep until the race finish. The second heat started much better, even if during the first lap Julius had to fight hard to maintain position, he takes fourth place, then into third position, then a big battle where Juilus has to defend for several laps from Manucci’s attacks. Since the first two had escaped, Julius ended the race in another 3rd place

With these results Julius climbed on the third step of the podium of the day and occupies the same position in the Elite MX2 championship ranking at a test from the end. The last test of this championship will take place in Arco di Trento on the weekend of 27 and 28 September.

Julius Mikula: “We had a great rain storm on Saturday that brought the whole program to Sunday. The track was super wet on Sunday morning and I was able to do only one tour that assured me the second half of my group. In the race someone I had a bad start and then I was unable to find the right pace not having a good feeling with the track, I closed so in third position. In the second much better the start, but I did not guide the first laps. Two leaders have put the 25 second gap on me. I decreased the detachment to 15 seconds and closed once again third. In the end I got on the podium, we will try to do better in the last stage of the championship. Thanks as always to the whole team “.
